The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Reproductive Infectious Diseases (RID) Fellowship Program offers Obstetrician Gynecologists the opportunity to develop a clinical and research career in the subspecialty of Infectious Diseases.

Research
MUSC RID fellows have the opportunity to participate in on-going basic science and clinical research or develop research interests in the broad spectrum of Reproductive Infectious Diseases. Unique to this interdisciplinary fellowship, RID fellows may conduct research with members of the Departments of OB/GYN, Adult Infectious Diseases, Pediatric Infectious Diseases, and/or Microbiology.
Curriculum
MUSC’s RID Fellowship Program is unique in that fellows work closely with the Adult and Pediatric Infectious Diseases departments.
• 4 months of inpatient Adult Infectious Diseases consultation service
• 2 months of inpatient Pediatric Infectious Diseases consultation service
• 2 months of Microbiology and Laboratory Medicine
For fellows who have not completed a masters degree in public health or clinical research, MUSC RID fellows are encouraged to complete a Masters in Science in Clinical Research (MSCR). This program is offered at MUSC by the Department of Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, and Epidemiology.
