As Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical University of South Carolina, I would like to welcome you to MUSC's Women's Services. This message is particularly timely as MUSC Women's Services recently moved into its new, modern Cannon Place facility at 135 Cannon Street. In this large, 20,000 square foot facility on the campus at MUSC, the Department can now more easily provide comprehensive care to its many patients.
This unique center has been designed exclusively for women of all ages. Services range from routine annual exams and family planning to specialty clinics that deal with the most perplexing issues that a woman might face. The hallmark of MUSC Women's Services is the array of options that we offer from the simple to the complex, from medical therapy to surgical intervention, from preconceptional counseling to three-dimensional ultrasound, from family planning to assisted reproductive technologies, and from adolescence to menopause. We encourage women to become a part of the decision-making process and to do what is best for them and their families. Often, medical, nonsurgical interventions are preferable. Still, when simple solutions fail, we have the experts to perform the most high-tech and the most cutting-edge therapies. Our nationally and internationally recognized faculty have written the textbooks, created the science, and trained tomorrow's physicians. Most of our doctors are listed in America's Top Doctors or Best Doctors in the Southeast Region. Appropriately, our faculty are just as diverse as the patients that we serve.
Please visit the remainder of our website now and in the future to discover the vast array of services and providers available to you.
