The MUSC Wellness Center is a facility dedicated to the promotion of good health. The center fosters the development of healthy lifestyles through the promotion of wellness attitudes and practices. More than a health club, the MUSC Wellness Center focuses on the development of total well-being, with the belief that wellness is a balance of social, emotional, spiritual and physical health. The MUSC Wellness Center houses a variety of exercise and free-weight equipment, a complete strength training circuit, selectorized weight machines, two aerobic dance studios, a full-size gymnasium, a seven-lane junior Olympic size swimming pool with a free swim area, and indoor racquetball and squash courts. It also is equipped with spacious locker rooms and shower facilities, as well as sauna and steam rooms. The roof, with its panoramic view of Charleston, offers lighted outdoor activities with a one-sixth-mile running track, four tennis courts, and three outdoor racquetball courts.
