bariatric surgery PROGRAM

Debbie PetitpainDebbie Petitpain, MS, RD, LD

Debbie Petitpain has been working with the Bariatric Surgery Program at MUSC full-time since 2006, where she counsels both pre- and post-op patients on the diet and lifestyle required to maximize success following bariatric surgery using individualized counseling sessions, group classes and fun activities like grocery store tours.  She also co-facilitates a bi-monthly support group for the patients.  Debbie believes the success of a bariatric surgery patient stems from the cohesiveness and involvement of a strong, interdisciplinary surgery team.
