As the Medical University's center for clinical services and obesity research, we have a prominent, positive and long-standing reputation in the community among physicians and other healthcare professionals and among the public.  We also have referral and collaborative relationships with the many other specialists and clinics in the growing MUSC Medical Center.

We have great experience in obesity trial recruitment efforts and have efficient techniques to follow up with potential subjects interested in screening for trials. We recruit productively from applicants of past trials, from MUSC employees, from within our past patient population, and the entire Charleston metro area.

We have a patient database of approximately 5,000 potential subjects who have requested to receive information on weight loss trials, and a mailing service that provides fast and reliable turnaround.  We also use physician referrals and advertising in newspaper, TV, radio and Internet.  Within our University Hospital campus system of approximately 7,000 employees we also use broadcast e-mails, cafeteria LCD and video monitors, flyers and other approved advertisements.
