Department of Urology : Residents & Students : Fellowship Information : Welcome Letter

Dear Prospective Fellow:

The Department of Urology at the Medical University of South Carolina, in cooperation with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is now accepting applications for a post-graduate fellowship position in voiding dysfunction, female urology, neurourology and urodynamics.

This position is a one-year clinical fellowship. Salary, medical malpractice liability insurance and benefits are offered as a package. Clinical and academic responsibilities for the fellow will be shared between the departments of urology and obstetrics and gynecology under the directorship of Drs. Eric Rovner, Ross Rames and Steve Swift.

Responsibilities will include office evaluation as well as office and surgical management of pelvic floor disorders, plus performing and interpreting complex urodynamics. Clinical productivity and academic scholarship will be greatly encouraged.

The Medical University of South Carolina, located in downtown Charleston, is one of the oldest medical schools in the United States. Charleston is a small to medium-sized coastal city with a mild climate and a multitude of progressive and lively cultural opportunities and sporting activities. It is consistently rated among the best cities to live.

Successful applicant must have completed an accredited urology residency program in the United States. In addition, if accepted, he or she will be required to obtain a South Carolina Medical License.
