The PEP program, designed for the United States Soccer Federation, is aimed at decreasing the risk of catastrophic knee injuries, such as anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears. The program is designed to be performed by athletes as part of a preseason and in-season maintenance program. MUSC Sports Medicine offers a monthly training session, led by physical therapists and trainers with dedicated experience to the PEP program and soccer injuries. The session will teach athletes the exercises and drills to perform throughout the year. If you would like an MUSC Sports Medicine physical therapist or athletic trainer come to teach the program to your team, please contact Renee Garrison at 266-1540.
