MUSC Sleep Disorders Program
The faculty and staff of the Sleep Disorders Center are a multi-disciplinary group of highly trained and experienced professionals who use their vast expertise and state of the art technical equipment to diagnose and treat the most difficult sleep disorders in adults and children. These include problems with excessive daytime sleepiness, difficulties falling asleep or staying asleep, troublesome snoring, difficulties breathing during sleep, and any other manner of sleep complaint.
The sleep specialists at MUSC have been performing sleep studies for over 15 years. Many technological changes have occurred over that 15 years and we have remained in the forefront of diagnosing and treating patients with sleep disorders.
The Sleep Disorders Center has been accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

The MUSC Sleep Disorders Center is an elegantly furnished 8-bed facility designed to meet the rigorous standards of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. The patient rooms in the Sleep Disorders Center are spacious, elegantly furnished and sound proofed to provide a comfortable atmosphere and an optimal sleeping environment. Each room has a conveniently located bathroom. Showers are available in each bathroom for patients who wish to freshen up following a study or leave directly from the lab to go to work. Sleep studies are performed and scored by skilled sleep technicians and registered sleep technologists. The sleep physicians of the MUSC Sleep Disorders Center are Board Certified by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Each patient gets an appointment to be seen without delay by the best MUSC sleep specialist for their particular sleep complaint.
The MUSC Sleep Disorders Center also strives to serve as a resource for the public and medical community and to continually raise the level of excellence of clinical care, education and research of sleep/wake disorders at MUSC and the Medical University Hospital.
