Radiation Oncology : Patients & Visitors : Letter From the Staff

The Radiation Oncology Department at the Medical University of South Carolina understands what a difficult time this is for you and your family. We want to make this experience as easy as possible for you. Our goal is to give you and your family the highest possible quality of care.

We wrote this guide to help answer common questions that patients often ask about radiation therapy and its side effects. We hope that it will answer many of your questions and ease some of your fears. It may even raise more questions, and if so, we want you to ask us. No question is too small or too silly. Each person on our staff cares about you and will do his or her best to give you the information you want.

If you have any problems or concerns during the course of your treatment, please let someone on our staff know. We are always looking for ways to improve the care we give you, and we really do appreciate any comments or suggestions you or your family may have.

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to participate in your care.

Sincerely,

The Staff of Radiation Oncology
