Inpatient Services

 Our Senior Care Unit is a short-stay locked inpatient unit dedicated to treating seniors in crisis.  Sometimes emotional, cognitive, or behavioral problems become a threat to one's safety and cannot be safely managed in the home or current environment.  Our highly skilled team of board-certified geriatric psychiatrists, nurses, therapeutic aids, and social workers provides 24-hour care to treat a variety of conditions.  A comprehensive evaluation of mental and medical problems helps to ensure that an accurate diagnosis is made and appropriate treatments are used. 

Our patients participate in daily meetings with the psychiatrist and treatment team, group therapy sessions, and often family meetings.  When needed, we offer a comprehensive array of diagnostic and treatment options.  These include a full range of medical tests, brain imaging, medical consultation, medication management, and electroconvulsive therapy.
