  • Presenteeism costs employers 7 ½ times more than absenteeism
  • Stress, fatigue, depression, substance abuse, relationship problems, headaches, back pain and allergies are all common causes of presenteeism
  • Troubled employees are absent at more than twice the normal rate
  • 70% of all illegal drug users are employed either full or part-time
  • 1 in every 10 people has an alcohol problem
  • 10-15% of all employees have serious problems affecting their work performance
