Update on ADHD

Workshop Description

This hands-on workshop will engage participants in an overview of diagnosis and treatment of child, adolescent and adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Objectives
At the completion of this session the participant should be able to:
  1. Recognize the basic signs of ADHD in children, teenagers and adults

  2. List basic scientifically validated treatments for ADHD

  3. List regional and national resources for ADHD

Speaker Biography

For the past 11 years, Dr. Edwards has conducted a specialty clinic in Tic and Tourette Disorders.  He holds a masters degree and undergraduate degree in education and taught in public schools before entering medical school at Yale University.  Dr. Edwards has researched this topic since 1986 and has taught in New Zealand, the Caribbean and in many parts of the US over the last 20 years while treating patients at the same time.
