| This workshop is designed to help educate health care providers on how to better work with their patients towards a goal of successful weight management. The aim is to familiarize attendees with the dietary, exercise, and behavioral concepts and approaches through interactive didactics and discussions of real-life scenarios. | |

| At the completion of this session the participant should be able to: | |
| - List 3 attributes of effective behavioral goals
- Identify at least 2 behaviors that can be self-monitored to aid weight loss
- Name at least 3 nutritional / diet plans

| Speaker Biography | |
| Dr. Brown and Ms. Turner are both licensed in their respective fields. In addition, both have been working with patients at the MUSC Weight Management Center for the past 4-5 years. Together, Dr. Brown and Ms. Turner facilitate frequent educational seminars related to weight management, both on and off the MUSC campus. | |
