| Speaker Biography | |
| Dr. Book received her bachelor's degree in Biology from the Johns Hopkins University and her MD degree from Duke University School of Medicine. She then completed her residency training in General Psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center and a fellowship in Anxiety Disorders at Medical University of South Carolina. She became board certified in Psychiatry and in Addiction Medicine before completing a Masters Degree in Clinical Research at Medical University of South Carolina to prepare her for a research career in the intersection of psychiatric and addiction disorders. In addition to her research , some of which she will talk about today, Dr. Book has an active clinical practice, teaches medical students and psychiatry residents, and is a busy wife and a mother of three children: George, Sam and Anna. | |
