When specialty care is needed, we have the benefit of working with MUSC, which is at the forefront of the latest advances in medicine and has been recognized as one the nation's top academic medical centers. MUSC includes Hollings Cancer Center, Storm Eye Institute, MUSC Children's Hospital, a new hospital for cardiovascular and digestive disorders and many other centers of excellence.

Community - We know that patients appreciate receiving advanced medical care close to home, work or school. We have practices located throughout the Lowcountry that have served their local communities for many years. In July 2012, MUSC Health East Cooper opened. This 80,000-square foot facility is conveniently located in Mount Pleasant and offers an array of specialty services such as cardiology, endocrinology, orthopedic surgery, urology and ENT, while also including community meeting rooms and a rooftop garden.

Flexibility - MUSC Physicians - Primary Care provides you with the possibility of choosing an internist or family medicine physician as your primary care provider. Our primary care doctors often work closely with MUSC specialists through consultations and referrals but have the freedom to refer you to other medical providers according to your needs and wishes.
