James Island Internal Medicine began caring for patients in 1999, and our doctors have strong local ties. Dr. Edward M. Gilbreth writes a weekly column for The Post and Courier, while Dr. Kathy S. Bolus stays busy raising three active sons on Folly Beach with her husband, a Folly Beach native. Our practice is located near the intersection of Folly Road and the James Island Expressway, just two miles from downtown Charleston. We are also convenient to Folly Beach and West Ashley.
