When are Chaplains available?
A chaplain is available and on-call in the hospital 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You may request pastoral care support by calling 843-792-9464 or by calling the hospital operator at 843-792-2123. The on-call chaplain may also be paged by dialing 843-792-0590 and entering the pager number 18089.

What kinds of chaplaincy support services are offered?
A chaplain may be paged any time a patient, family member or staff member requests. Support services include grief support, end-of-life care, emergent and crisis situations, support for new diagnoses, prayer, blessings, and sacramental ministry.

Are all faith traditions honored and supported?
Yes, chaplains seek to respect fully all religious and spiritual needs. Staff chaplains seek to meet needs as they arise, but there are also instances where clergy of specific religious affiliation can be called and accessed for patient needs.

Where are the offices for Pastoral Care Services?
Offices are located on the 4th Floor in the main hospital.

Where are the Chapels located?
The primary chapel is located on the 4th floor in the main hospital. This sacred place houses prayer and kneeling benches, a prayer book, and other seating for prayer, reading and meditation.
