Dr. Schutte received his B.A. in Chemistry from Southern College in Tennessee and his M.D. from Loma Linda University Medical Center. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center and went on to complete a fellowship in Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Arizona in Tucson. After fellowship, he joined the faculty in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. He also holds adjunct appointments at Loma Linda University Medical Center and at Clemson University. Dr. Schutte has received numerous honors, including the department’s most prestigious award, The John A. Siegling Teaching Award. He is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with a primary focus on joint replacement surgery. He has numerous presentations and publications related to hip and knee joint replacement topics.
