Dr. Hooker received her cum laude B.S. in Physics from Duke University and her M.D. with Honors and Distinction from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. She completed her Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals and went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Hooker joined the faculty of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2007 and is a Board Eligible Orthopaedic Surgeon. She specializes in pediatric orthopaedic surgery and has a particular interest in undergraduate and graduate medical education.
