Dr. Geier received his magna cum laude B.A. in Economics from Wake Forest University and his M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and the Campbell Clinic in Germantown, Tennessee. He completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where he served as the university's team physician and assisted in the care of the professional athletes from the St. Louis Rams, Cardinals, and Blues. Dr. Geier is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who is the Director of Sports Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. He specializes in pediatric, adolescent, and adult sports medicine; athletic injuries; and arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, and elbow. Under his direction, MUSC Sports Medicine offer services such as team consultations, athletic training, and educational programs for athletes of all ages and skill levels.
