March 9: Beans, Greens, and Magical Fruit
Please join Registered Dietitian Debra Petitpain from 12:15pm - 12:45pm, on Wednesday, March 9 in the Library room 102 for her presentation, Beans, Greens and Magical Fruit. Come learn about the many benefits of a plant-based diet, how to meet protein, calcium and iron needs using beans, greens and magical fruits, and ways to include more of these foods in a healthy diet.

Did you know the average person consumes about 3,400 milligrams of sodium (salt) per day? Lowering your salt intake can have major health benefits. Studies have shown that a reduced sodium intake can lower blood pressure, prevent hypertension, can help control hypertension, and can prevent cardiovascular disease. Come learn where you may be getting hidden salt in your diet and about ways to cut back on salt to improve your health. Presented by Lisa Hanhauser and Sara Hendrix MUSC clinical dietitians on Wednesday, March 23 from 12:15-12:45 in the Education Library room EL 102.
