MUSC Nutrition Services : Nutrition Tools & Links : Nutrition Self Test

Read the ten statements below. If three or more of the statements are “false,” you may be at risk for an unhealthy diet which can possibly lead to obesity, heart disease, diabetes or other nutrition-related diseases.

  1. I eat five or more fruits and/or vegetables per day.
  2. I have at least three servings of milk or dairy products per day.
  3. I limit my fried food and/or fast food intake to less than once a week.
  4. I exercise for 30 minutes or more at least three days a week.
  5. I avoid sugar-containing beverages (such as regular soda, sweet tea, etc).
  6. I eat fish/seafood at least once a week.
  7. I eat three meals a day.
  8. I take a daily multivitamin.
  9. According to my calculated BMI, I am not overweight.
  10. I do not have diabetes, heart disease or kidney disease.
