Most people do not get enough fiber in their daily diet. Use the following suggestions to help increase the amount of fiber you eat. Eat more raw fruits and vegetables such as apples, oranges, pineapple, peppers and spinach. Your goal should be 5 servings a day. Use whole grain breads, cereals and pastas. Include beans and lentils (such as kidney beans, black eyed peas, or chick peas) in your meals several times a week. Make sure to drink plenty of fluids (water is the best). Eight cups a day (64 ounces) is about what your body needs.
