MUSC Nutrition Services : Dining Services : Visitor Dining Options

Guests, employees and students have a wide variety of dining options at MUSC. Whether you are in the mood for a hot entree and vegetables, or international cuisine, the food choices are seemingly endless. To assist our patrons in making wise food choices, the nutrition analysis of foods is clearly displayed.  MUSC has three main dining locations available to visitor, students and staff.  Multiple dining options are available at some of these locations.

Phase I of the University Hospital cafeteria renovation project has been completed. Sodexo's Fresh Inspiration design was used to provide our customers with an inviting and comfortable place to dine that reflects our brand pillars- Wellness, Diversity and Sustainability. 

 FAVORITES —  is located in the University Hospital in the cafeteria. It offers the traditional "comfort foods", featuring freshly prepared hot entrees and vegetables. Broiled meats and lightly seasoned vegetables are a few of the heart smart items that are offered. An assortment of tempting desserts is displayed to provide the perfect ending to your meal, and a few are actually low in fat and sugar!         

To start your day off, a hearty, southern breakfast is served daily at FAVORITES. Great taste at a great value.

 CHICK-FIL-A® —  The South's most popular fast food restaurant, Chick-fil-A®  is located in the MUSC cafeteria area. They feature fried and grilled chicken sandwiches, salads and waffle fries.

Chick-fil-A also now offers a chicken biscuit for the early morning risers.

 CLOSED Due to Renovations SUBWAY® —  America's favorite sandwich shop builds every sandwich according to your individual order. To ensure that your sandwich is made "your way," you can watch your sandwich being prepared. Subway is conveniently located in the MUSC cafeteria area.

 THE GRILL - The menu features burgers, bacon cheeseburgers, cheese steaks, grilled cheese sandwiches, veggie burgers, hot dogs, fries and onion rings.  Be sure to try the specialty sandwiches, too. Everything is "grab n' go" to save you time.

                              
 WORLD CUISINE —  If ou are looking for an international flare, the WORLD CUISINE has exactly what you want. A different, exciting menu is featured each week including Italian pasta dishes, Oriental stir-fried dishes, Mexican fajitas, wraps and much more.

 SOUP & SALAD BAR —   The soup kettles are filled with your choice of hearty soups made from scratch. You almost need a fork to eat these soups that serve like a meal. A great lunch time combination is a hot bowl of soup and a crisp salad. A bountiful array of salad fixings can be an accompaniment or a meal of its own.

CLOSED Due to Renovations: A LA CARTE PIZZA & FRESHENS® YOGURT SHOP —  Since A la Carte Pizza is located at the front of the hallway leading to the MUSC cafeteria area, the smell of freshly baked pizzas and calzones may keep you from going any further. A variety of individual pan pizzas and salads are available for take out.

And when you need a "cool-down" on a hot summer day or just have the craving for a creamy yogurt, stop at Freshens Yogurt Shop. Whether you enjoy your yogurt on a waffle cone or in a cup, don't forget to indulge yourself with the many wonderful toppings. Try one of our delicious smoothies, a meal in itself.

 STARBUCKS COFFEE — Located near the main entrance of the University Hospital is Starbucks Coffee. Starbucks offers exquisite coffee and espresso drinks along with a nice assortment of pastries and desserts.

 VENDING —  Vending machines are located at the exit of the MUSC cafeteria. Sodas, coffee, sandwiches and other snacks are always available.

The cafeteria at the Ashley River Tower is open from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, seven days a week, offering a wide variety of hot and cold dishes. 

Patients staying in the Ashley River Tower may also use the At Your Request Room Service.  Call 876-7265 any time from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm to order food from the cafeteria.  The meal is delivered to your room within 45 minutes.

   STARBUCKS -                 Located near the main entrance of the University Hospital is Starbucks Coffee. Starbucks offers exquisite coffee and espresso drinks along with a nice assortment of pastries and desserts.

The Rutledge Tower Café is conveniently located on the first floor of
the Rutledge Tower building near Orthopedic Services. Employees and
patients with busy schedules can grab a quick sandwich or hot food for take out, or enjoy dining in the little café area.
