Nose & Sinus Program : Frequently Asked Questions- Sinonasal Tumors

How Are Sinonasal Tumors Treated?
Tumors of the sinonasal cavity are treated by a multi-disciplinary team. Treatment options are discussed among radiation oncology, hematology oncology and surgical subspecialties. Surgical treatment is provided using a combined approach depending upon the type of tumor, its location, and other non-surgical options available. Hollings Cancer Center has otolaryngologists with extensive training in endoscopic, minimally invasive skull base surgery, extended skull base approaches, and head and neck reconstruction. Otolaryngologists work closely with surgeons from other fields, such as neurosurgery, plastic surgery, and oral/maxillofacial surgery to take advantage of the unique talents of each doctor. Through this collaboration, patients receive optimal care.
