- Nasal polyposis
- Sinonasal tumors
- Skull base tumors (such as inverted papilloma)
- Pituitary tumors
- Cerebrospinal fluid leaks and encephaloceles
- Congenital nasal disorders
- Cystic fibrosis
- Sarcoid
- Smell and taste disorders
- Some eye disorders (Graves exophthalmos, tear duct obstruction)
The approach to these disorders is multi-disciplinary and incorporates the expertise of a variety of specialties including Primary Care Providers, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Allergy/Immunology, Pulmonology, Radiation Oncology, Hematology/Oncology, and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Patient Education The faculty of The Nose & Sinus Center of MUSC conducts community outreach and free educational seminars on a regular basis. This enables patients in our community to be thoroughly knowledgeable about their diseases and the latest treatments.
Physician Education The Nose & Sinus Center of MUSC is committed to training physicians of all disciplines in the proper evaluation and medical and surgical treatment of patients with diseases of the sinuses. While Dr. Schlosser and others regularly travel around the US speaking and training ENT physicians in the latest medical and surgical techniques, the Department of Otolaryngology also hosts outside physicians and permits them to observe the most modern techniques in our Sinus Laboratory. |
