Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation and Aphasia Treatment Outcomes

Do you have problems speaking as a result of a stroke? If so, you may qualify for a research study that is being conducted at the Medical University of South Carolina and is supported and approved by the National Institutes of Health. The treatment involves therapy that may improve speech ability. For qualified participants compensation is available for transportation costs.

Details:  Join us for a day of live music, an auction and more, hosted by the MUSC Brain & Spine Tumor Program Brick House Kitchen and Treehouse Recording Studio. This family friendly event is part of the MUSC Brain Tumor Action Month (BTAM). Proceeds will go directly to the MUSC Brain Tumor Research Fund. Please check back for updates. Join us on May 22 for the 2014 Stroke Awareness Health Fair!  The MUSC Stroke program is holding this event to celebrate stroke awareness. This event is free and open to the public, and includes stroke health educational materials provided by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.  Health care providers will offer consultations, blood pressure readings, nutrition information and more!
