Neurosciences deal with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the nervous system. Patients are seen in consultation through referral by your primary physician or other physician specialist. Physicians in the Department of Neurosciences provide diagnosis and treatment of symptoms and disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. MUSC neurologists are experienced in adult and pediatric neurology and have special facilities in clinical electrophysiology. MUSC Neurosciences also provide consultation and treatment in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation. Other special services offered by MUSC Neurosciences include: - Neuropsychological testing, including evaluation of dementia, learning disorders, and other cognitive related dysfunction
