Our Services
The overall treatment goal is to eliminate epilepsy in each patient’s life, often removing a barrier that has compromised every aspect of living for years. Dedicated epilepsy nursing and social work help ensure excellent case management and compliance, as well as a smooth transition to life-after-epilepsy.
In-patient services:
MUSC’s eight-bed epilepsy inpatient unit offers the latest digital monitoring and video capabilities to quickly and efficiently develop a definitive diagnosis for patients who do not respond to first-line therapies. Seizure activity is captured and evaluated in a fraction of the time required in non-dedicated environments.
Out-patient Services:
Patients are evaluated and provided a continuum of care by our multi-disciplinary team through our out-patient clinic in the Rutledge Tower in downtown Charleston and in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
New Onset Clinic:
The New Onset Seizure clinic at MUSC targets prompt diagnosis of seizures. Early diagnosis is essential because it enables the correct treatments. Learn more about the New Onset clinic.
