Alzheimer’s Disease – Signs of Dementia

In this aging podcast, Fran Emerson, the program director for the Charleston Alzheimer’s Association, discusses with Sally Smith some of the signs of dementia. She explains how changes in behavior correspond with changes in the brain. Ms. Emerson points to the benefits of receiving an early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease if dementia is suspected. She concludes by offering advice for strategies to make the best of an Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis.
