Registered guardian, Mary Peters, explains to Sally Smith what a conservator is and the responsibilities that are entitled to the conservator such as financial matters for the ward, hiring a lawyer, selling the ward’s house and other financial decisions. Ms. Peters explains the importance of cohesion among the probate court, guardian and conservator, all of which is mandated by the probate code of South Carolina.
