Dr. Michael Gold, Director of the Division of Cardiology, explains the terms cardiac arrest and “sudden cardiac death.” Dr. Gold identifies who is at risk, how medications are used to reduce the risk of cardiac arrest and also discusses implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD) and automated external defibrillators (AED.)
