Dr. Dana King, professor of family medicine, talks about the results from his clinical research study titled, "Turning Back the Clock: Adopting a Healthy Lifestyle in Middle Age". The study, covered in this health news podcast, followed 16,000 people between the ages of 45-64 over a six year period to determine if there was health benefits associated with following four healthy lifestyles: diet, exercise, maintain a healthy weight and not smoking. Dr. King explained that for those that followed all 4 habits they were able to experience a prompt benefit of lower rates of cardiovascular disease and mortality.
