Atrial Fibrillation Treatment Decisions and Options

Dr. Marcus Wharton, Director of Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and one of MUSC's atrial fibrillation doctors, discusses the various atrial fibrillation treatments available and explains in this heart podcast what methods work best for certain situations and the importance of long-term monitoring for other risk factors associated with atrial fibrillation such as stroke. Dr. Wharton also explains why aspirin alone is not the answer for medical treatment, and he goes on to explain how warfarin and other cardiac medications may be used to treat atrial fibrillation in this heart podcast.
