At the MUSC Sports Medicine Program, we understand your athletic passions - soccer or kickball, golf or jogging, tennis or volleyball, gymnastics or cheerleading, football or baseball. We also know exactly what to do when your favorite sport throws you a curve. 

The MUSC Sports Medicine team provides state-of-the-art injury prevention, treatment, surgery and rehabilitation for athletes of all ages and skill levels, as well as team and event consultation, athletic training and educational programs.

MUSC Sports Medicine is part of the Musculoskeletal Institute, home to the region’s most comprehensive range of musculoskeletal services and associated specialists. These specialists include nationally recognized and awarded rheumatologists, orthopaedic surgeons, radiologists, and physical therapists working to develop diagnostic treatment programs tailored to meet the individual needs and goals of each patient.

NEW: MUSC Health Sports Medicine Welcomes New Physicians

We are pleased to announce the addition of two new physicians to our Sports Medicine team, Dr. Marc Haro and Dr. Harris Slone. 

Dr. Haro has an extensive background in sports medicine.  His special interests include ACL reconstruction, revisions, ACL injuries, complex knee injuries, cartilage restoration, meniscal tears and multiple ligament knee injuries.  Dr. Haro has functioned as a trainer for the Indianapolis Colts as well as Assistant Team Surgeon for the Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox and DePaul University.

Dr. Harris Slone, also an experienced Sports Medicine physician, brings an interest in arthroscopic surgery, ankle pain and instability, knee instability, shoulder injuries, and foot pain in athletes to MUSC Health.  Having been a team physician for the Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Tech, Dr. Slone has expertise in all of the above injuries and understands the importance of effective treatment to get a player back in the game.
