Geriatric Fracture Program
Hip fracture patients who are admitted to MUSC are referred to us for help in addressing their osteoporosis or other underlying causes of their fractures. We offer dual therapy – not only treating the fracture and managing it after surgery, but also treating the systemic disease that led to the fracture.
MUSC hospitalists are also actively involved in the care of hip fracture patients, assisting with the management of medical problems.
