Movement Disorders : Our Services : Neuropsychological Evaluation and Testing

Understanding cognitive and thinking capabilities is necessary for the definitive diagnosis of some Parkinson syndromes. Testing techniques involve standardized paper and pencil tests that investigate the functions of various parts of the brain. This kind of evaluation gives a good assessment of the "thinking landscape" of the brain. This allows us to follow a patient over time, make more accurate diagnoses, and predict successful candidates for clinical trials or deep brain surgery.
