Iraqi Boy Receives Life-Saving Surgery at MUSC
With the help of the U.S. Marines, Hamad Muhammed brought his five-year-old son Ammar all the way from Haditha, Iraq, for life-saving heart surgery at MUSC Children’s Hospital.  Ammar suffered from a condition called Tetralogy of Fallot, a heart condition that starves the blood of oxygen, turning the skin blue.
