Heart disease can be a scary thing to face, but having the support and knowledge of those also going through it, or who have already gone through it, can be invaluable. At the Heart and Vascular Center we maintain a list of available support groups.

Heart to Heart
This support group was established to offer a support network  for families of children with heart disease. Call (843) 792-5481 for details.

Living with Congestive Heart Failure
Adult Nurse Practitioner Lanna Smith, R.N., CNP, with the MUSC Heart Failure Program will discuss all aspects of managing congestive heart failure. This group meets the second Wednesday of each month from 3-4 p.m. at Mathis Ferry Plantation (formerly Park Place Assisted Living), 601 Mathis Ferry Road, Mt. Pleasant - first floor fireside parlor. Internal Cardioverter / Defibrillator (ICD) Support Group

Dedicated to serving the heart patient and family. Meets the 3rd Thursday of each month, 6:30 PM, Irene Dixon Auditorium, Roper Hospital. Offering education and support for people w/ heart disease and their families. For more information call (843) 556-0368.
