Our pediatric cardiology services include: Fetal Cardiology Program Our fetal cardiologists identify heart abnormalities before birth. Specialized maternal/fetal medicine teams work with families to develop detailed delivery plans when a baby requires heart surgery soon after birth.
Telemedicine Thanks to advanced technology resources, our pediatric cardiologists can identify congenital heart disease from hundreds of miles away. Our pediatric cardiologists are able to review echocardiograms and other information via computer, offering immediate feedback and referral. Technology also connects us with pediatric cardiology experts across the state, allowing us to communicate and educate like never before.
Interventional Pediatric Cardiology From treating holes in the heart to coronary artery disease, we're using innovative methods that take the place of open heart surgery when appropriate for children and adults. We've had outstanding success in reducing complications, costs and the amount of time spent in the hospital for our pediatric cardiology patients.
Electrophysiology We treat both common and complicated heart rhythm abnormalities in children and adults in ways that prevent the need for lifelong medicine and surgery.

The state is divided into four regions, with hospitals in Charleston, Columbia, Florence and Greenville. All of the hospitals will provide education, primary cardiac evaluations and surgical follow-up. MUSC will perform all catheterizations and surgery.
