The MUSC Heart Failure Program is the state-wide referral center for congestive heart failure and offers comprehensive services for management of this disease. Congestive heart failure patients are seen by a range of specialists in one visit. This multidisciplinary team includes cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, pharmacists, therapists, dieticians, social workers and nurse practitioners. The team develops a personalized treatment plan for each congestive heart failure patient and monitors follow-up, helping patients manage medications, diet and exercise. |
