Should you call your doctor if you have hives?  What about an earache?  What is the best way to stop your child's nosebleed?  These are questions that can be answered with the Self Health Care Advisor.  The advisor provides lists of symptoms for common illnesses and injuries, explains when the symptoms are severe enough to contact your doctor or to call 911, and gives advice about how you can treat the symptoms at home (when you can safely do so).  The topics are grouped according to adult self care or pediatric self care.
