Head & Neck Tumor Center : Research : Research Faculty : James Norris

James Norris

James Norris' laboratory is developing a new therapeutic approach to treatment of HNSCC based on viral therapy approaches for inducing apoptosis and similar to Adp53 administration but using different apoptosis inducing genes in a complex adenovirus combined with small molecule therapeutics to enhance cell killing. The approach encompasses direct orthotopic administration of virus combined with systemic small molecule therapy to increase tumor cell sensitivity to bystander killing induced by viral gene delivery of apoptosis inducing molecules that elicit bystander effects.
