Dr. Bilic is an anatomic and clinical pathologist with special interest in thoracic pathology with focus on the pathology of lung cancer. Her clinical responsibilities include analysis and interpretation of general surgical tissue biopsies and resections as well as interpretation of consultation cases discussed in multidisciplinary thoracic tumor board meetings. Additionally, she has duties on the nephropathology and medical autopsy service. Dr. Bilic regularly participates in the thoracic and gastrointestinal tumor boards, as well as native and transplant renal biopsy conferences. She also collaborates in research projects involving pulmonary and renal pathology.

Dr. Bilic has several administrative roles at MUSC. She serves as pathology coordinator of lung cancer molecular testing. She is also physician coordinator in charge of maintaining CME accreditation for pathology grand rounds and journal clubs. She has served as a scientific member on the Institutional Review Board 2 (IRB 2) since 2007. Dr. Bilic is a member of several national and international professional societies, including United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP), Pulmonary Pathology Society (PPS) and Renal Pathology Society (RPS).
