| Dr. Gwynette is Board-Certified in both Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine in 2000 and went on to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California to complete his residency in Adult Psychiatry and fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Gwynette is the Founder and Director of Project Rex, a treatment program for children on the Autism Spectrum and their families. In addition, Dr. Gwynette created the Medical University of South Carolina Autism Spectrum foundation, which strives to provide the highest level of care possible for affected children and their loved ones. Dr. Gwynette currently serves as the Director of the Resident Training Clinic and also directs the development of electronic medical records at the Medical University of South Carolina’s Institute of Psychiatry. His career interests include Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD and application of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
