| Dr. Anis is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Anis undertook her undergraduate studies at Lahore College for Women, Lahore, Pakistan. She earned her M.D. at the Fatima Jinnah Medical College for Women, Lahore, Pakistan where she graduated cum laude. She completed her internship in 2000-2001 Transitional Year at Frankford Hospital, Thomas Jefferson Hospital Systems, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She then did her residency in Radiology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania followed by a one year Abdominal Imaging and Interventional fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard University, Boston. She is board certified in Radiology since 2005.
Dr. Anis is a member of several organizations including the American College of Radiology; Radiological Society of North America; American Association for Women Radiologist and International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine.
Dr. Anis’s clinical interests include abdominal pathology of the liver, spleen, pancreas, GI tract, kidneys, and adrenal gland; and pelvic pathology of the uterus, ovaries, prostate, urinary bladder, and rectum. She is trained in all modalities including plain X-ray, ultrasound, and CT scan, but her main interest is in disease manifestation on MRI. She works on the improvement of the various sequences to better depict the pathology.
