| Christina Vaughan, M.D. is Assistant Professor of Neurology. She was awarded a pre-doctoral IRTA fellowship at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke where she studied experimental therapeutics using rodent models of parkinsonism. She then pursued clinical research in Parkinson's disease at Johns Hopkins University and completed a masters degree at the school of public health. She completed medical school at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2006. She pursued internship and residency training in neurology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where she served as Chief resident. She completed her training at Rush University Medical Center with a two-year fellowship in movement disorders. Dr. Vaughan's special interests include: advanced Parkinson disease, Huntington disease, ataxia, other movement disorders, and clinical trials. She is particularly interested in improving access to specialty care for patients with chronic neurodegenerative diseases with the use of tele-medicine and related modalities.
