Cardiovascular disease, lung disease and cancer are the most common conditions in the United States and are in large part preventable.  One of the main focuses of the Department of Family Medicine is comprehensive preventive clinical care, with an academic focus on education and research in the area of prevention and wellness.


PREVENTION GRAND ROUNDS

All Prevention Grand Rounds are held simultaneously at two locations (with video-link) on Fridays at 12 noon, in the Family Medicine Conference/classroom, at 295 Calhoun St, and at the Trident Family Medicine Conference room, on the campus at Trident Hospital.

The Comprehensive Primary Care and Prevention Program features distinguished members of the faculty practice of the Department of Family Medicine. Appointments for a medical examination, consultation, or a prevention check-up can be obtained by calling 843-792-3451.
