Celebrex, a medication for pain and arthritis symptoms is manufactured by Pfizer, Inc.  This month Pfizer Inc. has reported a 2.5 times greater risk of experiencing major heart problems in one of two long-term cancer prevention trials with patients taking 400mg to 800mg of Celebrex.  Celebrex is a drug that is in the same class as Vioxx, which was pulled from the market because of safety concerns. Pfizer did not indicate that it was withdrawing Celebrex from the marketplace.  Any side effects vary for individuals based on dosage, health conditions, and other cardiovascular risk factors.

Please make an appointment with your Doctor to discuss your risk of having negative side effects from Celebrex.
