Your health is as valuable as your time. That is why MUSC Executive Health offers a thorough examination in the course of a single day.  This standard one-day package includes:

Review of your medical and family history
An MUSC faculty physician carefully and thoroughly reviews your past medical and family history with you.

Detailed physical examination
A comprehensive physical examination is the cornerstone of the Executive Health Program.

Health risk analysis
Each Executive Health patient receives a one-hour consultation with an exercise physical therapist and registered dietician specifically designed to assess each patient's fitness and dietary habits and needs. Risk factor modification goals are determined and a game plan is developed to incorporate them into your daily activities.

Standard Executive Health Program Testing includes:
Cardiac scoring - computerized axial tomographic (CAT) scan of the heart
Chest X-ray - two views
CAT scan coronary angiogram

Electrocardiogram with interpretation
Complete blood count with differential
Complete blood chemistry profile
Fasting lipid analysis
C-reactive protein
Chest CAT scan screening for lung cancer
Thyroid stimulating hormone screening
Urinalysis
Occult blood testing
Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and free PSA (men)
Pulmonary function testing
Screening audiology (hearing) test
Screening vision and glaucoma test
Physical Fitness profile
Dietary Assessment

Optional gender-specific testing :
Pelvic exam with cervical cytology
Mammogram
Bone mineral density scan: recommended for women age 40 and over for early detection of osteoporosis

Colonoscopy
Doppler scanning of the carotid arteries
Doppler scanning of the abdominal aorta
The Bod Pod measurement of body composition/resting metabolic rate
